What new skills have you learnt during lockdown?
Or have you taken up an old activity instead?
In the beginning it was baking. Everybody was at it. With banana bread being the most popular choice to have a go at.
Then it was bread.
Not for me though, as I don’t bake or even eat cake for that matter…and I have a bread maker.
Then it was sorting and cleaning the house and garden. To be honest, I haven’t really done too much of that either. What’s the point of sorting out stuff if you can’t send it anywhere?
And the house – well I have spent the vast majority of my time in the summerhouse where I set up my office. So as far as I am concerned, the house hasn’t got that dirty -my excuse and I’m sticking to it :0)
Garden looks quite nice though.
Fast forward 2 weeks and it changed to DIY. We have now officially been DIY’d to death, with jobs being completed that I didn’t even know needed doing in the first place!
Walking and cycling became hugely popular with public footpaths positively jammed at weekends. We have one that passes through our garden so we have got to meet loads of lovely new people as they pass through.
The dog has had a lot more walks so he is happy. I won’t go near a bike though. I haven’t been on one since I was a child and I’m not sure I could even stay upright on one if I tried.
So what exactly have I been doing, you ask?
Creating new stuff.
That’s what I have been doing and guess what? You are about to find out what it is in the next week.
Watch this space. I can’t wait to share it with you.
