Very few people can say that they’ve had their likeness sculpted in ice, let alone be carved by our very own (and world-renowned) ice sculptors Percy Salazar-Diaz and Clemente Gava.
So there was a buzz in the air as we delivered ice sculptures of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to proudly display outside ITV’s studio in London as part of an exclusive announcement taking place live on the show.
Percy explains; “The sculptures of the famous duo were hand-carved and delivered straight to South Bank in London, right outside ITV’s ‘This Morning’ studio. The programme was celebrating both the return of Holly and Phillip after their summer break and also their return as co-presenters of ‘Dancing on Ice’ so it was a complete honour to be part of a very exciting day. ”
Percy continues “When we arrived we saw a winter wonderland scene, complete with an ice skating rink, which had been built right on the pathway on South Bank. Two thrones were in place, awaiting the announcement – which turned out to be that ice skating superstars Torvill and Dean are going to be joining Holly and Phillip once again when the show returns in 2018.”
Holly and Phillip are our second set of ice busts this year, as we also carved the likeness of Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn for a client in Westminster for the 2017 election.
